The nature park is in the hills east of Gaston.

This is in a relatively new Metro nature park near Gaston. It has park has 1,260 acres and this hike will be approximately 7 miles with 600‘ in gain. There should be a lot of mushrooms near the trail and, if there is good weather, there will be some good views.

Tualatin Hills Nature Park is a remarkably diverse 222-acre wildlife preserve with wetlands, forests and streams that are habitat to insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.The park features about five miles of trail with very little elevation gain.

This hike will take us along well maintained dirt trails that will afford views of many fall colors. It‘s Autumn in Portland so expect some mud. Poles might be useful.
